Computer Security


1) Computer Security is a type of Information Security that is applied to computer and networks [1]. Information Security is the practice of defending information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction [2]. Computer is a general purpose device that can be programmed to carry out a finite set of arithmetic or logical operations [3]. Network is a group of two or more computer systems linked together [4]. Computer and network systems are used mainly for processing data and storing or distributing them. In most of the cases, data is regarded as a valuable asset. Hence, Computer Security is always an important concern in the development and maintenance of any computer or network system.
